About BWR Timing

BWR Timing is the timing arm of Bigwig Races. Launched in 2012 to time our own Cheap 5K, we have grown and expanded to offer other races the same top-notch chip timing and pull-tag timing services we use. Our passionate crew brings the expertise you need to make event smoother and keep your runners coming back.

Depending on your event, we probably will use the latest RFID chip timing system to capture your results quickly and professionally. The use of chip technology means that we can score your race with a smoother "look & feel" to the finish line. Some events lend themselves to the traditional pull-tag methods.

We provide the timing equipment and consultation for both the start/finish area and most other facets of races.

Our main timer dude

Curtis Claar is the creator of Bigwig Races and BWR Timing. The whole mission is based on the concept of everyone being a bigwig ... as a runner, Curtis found himself at finish chutes after the timer had packed up just because he was a slow runner. He paid his fees like anyone else, so why didn't he get a time? We believe everyone is a bigwig and will stay at our post until the last runner is in (unless the race director tells us otherwise).
